After reinstalling your system or installing on a new PC, you may encounter a number of unknown devices in the Device Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

To solve this problem, you need to perform the following steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open Windows Device Manager<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Notice any device that is missing a driver (usually marked with an exclamation mark).<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The first thing we need to check is the automatic update, whether or not Windows will be able to update the driver without user intervention.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Right-click on the device and select Update Driver (Update Driver);<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Select Search automatically for drivers<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Windows will attempt to find the update in the drivers locally stored in the drivers store. <\/span>Windows will attempt to find the driver update in the local driver storage. If Windows does not find the driver, you will be prompted to find the driver through Windows Update. Select Search for updated drivers on Windows Update;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Windows Update will start searching for updates and drivers on Microsoft Update servers;. <\/span>The Windows Update service starts searching for updates and drivers on the Microsoft Update servers and offers a list of updates and drivers to install.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      If the first option does not work, you can use the device ID search device ID. To do so, you will need to follow these steps:<\/span><\/h4>\n
        \n
      1. Open the properties of Unknown Device in Windows Device Manager and click on the Details;<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Select the Hardware IDs option;<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Copy the ID from the list;<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Knowing the hardware manufacturer and the device ID, you can find drivers for it. <\/span>To do so, go to the driver catalog (http:\/\/www.catalog.update.microsoft.com\/<\/a>) <\/span><\/em>and search by your ID.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. After searching by ID, links to driver downloads will appear at the bottom. If there are no links to the driver, do a Google search.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
