  1. Add the Epel repository by executing the following command in terminal:<\/span>\n
    rpm -Uvh http:\/\/dl.fedoraproject.org\/pub\/epel\/6\/x86_64\/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  2. Install xcache and its control panel:<\/span>\n
    yum install php-xcache xcache-admin<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    How to setup XCache on CentOS 6<\/span><\/h2>\n

    1. Open xcache configuration file:<\/span>\n
      nano \/etc\/php.d\/xcache.ini<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n

        xcache.size = 60M<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
      • CPU core count:<\/span>\n
        xcache\/count = 1<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
      • Cache’s time to live:<\/span>\n
        xcache.ttl = 0<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
      • Memory limit for caching variables:<\/span>\n
        xcache.var_size = 4M<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
      • CPU core count for caching variables:<\/span>\n
        xcache.var_count = 1<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
      • Time to live for cached variables:<\/span>\n
        xcache.var_ttl = 0<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
      • Maximum time to live for cached variables:<\/span>\n
        xcache.var_maxttl = 0<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Once you are done, reboot the server:<\/span>\n
        service httpd restart<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        In order to check the status of XCache, create a file info.php in the root of the website, with following content:<\/span><\/p>\n

        Now open your browser and go to the page <\/span>http:\/\/YOUR_IP_OR_DOMAIN\/info.php \u0438 in order to see the stats of PHP on your website. XCache here has a separate table (as shown higher).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
        How to setup XCache control panel on CentOS 6<\/span><\/h2>\n

        In order to see the detailed XCache statistics, you need to set up its control panel. To do this:<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. Open its configuration file by executing the following terminal command:<\/span>\n

        2. Set the following parameters:<\/span>\n

          • Username in order to access the control panel:<\/span>\n
