To connect to the Remote Desktop Protocol RDP client is used.
To run Windows RDP client : press “Start” button -> “Run” (or the key combination Win+R)-> mstsc.exe /console /admin -> “OK”
Please, note: use /console /admin parameters to connect to the server console, instead of creating a new session. Thus, you will create a connection to a previously running session instead of creating new connection, avoiding problems of overloading the server and double run programs.
Type the IP address of the server. If you want to save your data to access the server (username and password) so that you do not need to enter them each time you connect to the server, click on “Settings”.
Enter your username (administrator) in the field “User” and check the box “Allow me to save account data”. You can also configure the resolution for a remote desktop (the tab “Screen”), connect local drives (the tab “Local resources”) to copy files between the computer and the server quickly .
To connect to the server press “Connect”.
Enter your password and check the box “Save account data”. Press “ОК”.
If the connection to the server via RDP is successful, you will see the remote desktop.
Important: If you try to connect to the server but receive the error (“The remote computer can not be authenticated”), avoid authentication warnings by choosing the option “Connect and don’t warn me”.
