An e-mail domain is a collection of Mailboxes, Mail groups and e-mail redirects that are associated with one domain name.

How to make an e-mail domain in ISPmanager

  1. Go to the Mail tab and click on Mail domains.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Fill in the fields:
    1. Name. Type in the name of the domain. Only second-level domains and higher are accepted.
    2. IP address. Leave it by default.
    3. Default Action. Set up an action that happens to all the messages that are coming to the non-existing e-mail addresses on this domain. Currently supports:
      1. Reply error. User will receive an error message that such an e-mail does not exist.
      2. Ignore and delete. The message will be deleted without informing anyone.
      3. Send to domain. The message will be redirected to the same address on another domain.
      4. Send to address. The message will be redirected to a specific e-mail address.
    4. Enable Greylisting. Check this if you want enable a greylisting antispam technique.
    5. Enable SpamAssassin. Check if you want to enable SpamAssassin scripts for this domain.
    6. Enable virus scanning. Check to enable the virus scanning of all attachments sent to this domain.
    7. Enable DKIM for domain. Check to enable the DKIM signature system for the domain
  4. Click OK to create the domain.

After the domain has been created, you can create the email addresses on it.

How to create an e-mail address in ISPmanager

  1. Under the Mail tab, click Mailboxes.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Заполните поля:
    1. Name. Name for your mailbox.
    2. Domain. Choose the domain where the mailbox will be located.
    3. Password. Enter a password.
    4. Confirmation. Enter the password once more.
    5. Maximum size. Enter the maximum amount of data you can store in the mailbox. Leaving it empty will make it unlimited.
  4. Click OK to create your e-mail.

How to add an e-mail address in cPanel

cPanel does not use e-mail domains and instead allows to directly create the mailboxes.

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. Under Email, click on Email accounts.3c7a2bea57

  3. Fill in the fields:

    1. Email. Enter the account’s name.
    2. Domain. Enter the domain the account is going to be attached to.
    3. Password. Create a password.
    4. Password (Again). Confirm a password.
    5. Mailbox Quota. Choose a quota on how much data a mailbox can hold or leave it unlimited.
  4. Click Create Account.
